New Oasis High Field Open MRI from Hitachi Focuses on Patient Comfort without Sacrificing Image Quality
East Hartford, Conn., February 1, 2015 – Jefferson Radiology has added an Oasis High-field Open Magnetic Resonance (MR) imaging system from Hitachi to its list of diagnostic offerings. The new Open MRI emphasizes patient comfort during their MR exam while maintaining a high level of image quality.
The inside of the Oasis gantry offers a wide view minimizing anxiety and claustrophobia and maximizing a more pleasant environment for the patient during the MR exam. Jefferson Radiology’s high field MRI wide bore systems are able to image patients weighing up to 550 pounds. With the new Hitachi Oasis system, patients weighing up to 660 pounds can experience the more open style of exam. The Open MRI combines patient comfort with powerful technology and an ultrafast workstation to make patient exams as quick and smooth as possible. Its imaging power is further boosted by an array of anatomically-specific, optimized receiver coils that allow advanced imaging applications ranging from vascular to orthopedic to women’s health.
